SERVICES
Registration
Private: the yacht is used for recreation by the owner and immediate family. Certain yachts may carry more than 12 guests.
Private Limited Charter: the yacht may charter up to 84 days per calendar year where permitted.
Commercial: the yacht may charter full time and receive all the rights/privileges associated with a commercial vessel. This is the same as being “MCA.”

Under Construction: Yachts not yet delivered and/or under construction may also be registered to facilitate ownership transfer, financing requirements, and mortgages.

Inspections and Surveys
International Yacht Bureau (IYB) is delegated statutory authority and flag-state inspection services for all Jamaican yachts.
This appointment allows both classed and unclassed yachts to utilize the services of the world's only classification society dedicated to yachts.
​
IYB is fully independent and not affiliated or owned by any brokerage, charter, or management companies.
IYB surveyors are certified captains and engineers with years of experience at sea and practical, hands-on knowledge.
